new chapter9photography website has been launched / includes bike photos

I launched this website for the start of my Foufs exhibit and had only released four preview images online to promote the exhibit.  Since the Foufs exhibit came down in January, I’ve been busting my ass on client contracts and haven’t had a chance to update PROJECTMESSENGER.

However, on June 22nd, I launched my new summer 2009 chapter9photography.com website and portfolio.  There are plenty of cool bike shots that you should go check out here. To be notified when I completely overhaul this website, send an email to jerome@projectmessenger.com

new helmet… and other things behind the scenes

Today is February 25th… less than one month of winter left.  I feel that we’ve been through the harshest so far and it’s only gonna get nicer out.

I got a new helmet last week, there was a defect in the strap mechanism, so I got it swapped under warranty.  Nice!  Many thanks for the boys at Le Grand Cycle for taking care of me.  If you’re gonna spend as much time on a bike as I do, and you wear a helmet all the time, it might as well be a really nice one.  I love my Giro Atmos.

so… all that being said, I’ve been busy behind the scenes.  Working on client jobs, prepping two new websites and portfolios for me… big business up ahead.  I do appreciate everybody keeping an eye on my work, trust me, when all the new work comes out, it will be worth the way.

cheers, more news soon,
Jerome

2008 is wrapping up and so has my first exhibit.  Michelle and I took it down on Saturday.  It was a killer success, thanks to everybody who checked it out.

Mega-thanks to the one and only Joe Bebel for inviting me to exhibit at Foufs, to JC Savard and all the crazy mofos at PhotoService for their help and support in regards to everything photography and gear related, and to Pierre-Luc and Bruno and the whole gang at Le Grand Cycle for keeping my bikes in top mechanical glory.

Now that this event is wrapped up, you can expect a ton of updates online…. I already tweaked the photo lottery page, and will upload a lot more tonight and in the days to come…

then the real promotion begins… 2009 is here!

the trinity of my life… love, photography and bikes

I am a heart on wheels.

The photo below to the left is a shot I took of my partner Michelle, she is the love of my life.  It happens to be a chapter9photography photo from my bathtub series in progress… Below to the right is a self-portrait I took while riding in traffic during a snowstorm. Michelle worries about me when I ride my bike, for all kinds of reasons.

This photo assembly is yet another tribute to the one I love.

it’s 2:19am and I’m working major overtime on all kinds of stuff… I still haven’t had a chance to do all the backend promotional stuff I was hoping to do for projectmessenger.  I’ll have more downtime over the holidaze, so the updates will finally arrive in the days to come.

thanks for everybody’s continued interest.

there are a few things I had hoped to have online by this week, but other obligations and an intensely beautiful but draining snowstorm slowed me down from projectmessenger stuff.  I’ll update the site as soon as I can, I promise it will be worth it.  I hope everybody enjoys their weekend.

Olaf’s been cool enough to donate some nice prizes for the first photo lottery.  We hung out this afternoon at the Jean Talon Market, catching up over espressos. I cranked out some casual shots of Olaf afterward to promote his line of t-shirts and hoodies. Shooting in snowstorms is always wicked.  More news soon.
